How to Choose The Perfect Bathroom Suite

Within the home, the bathroom is arguably one of the most important rooms in the house. It is a place where we can soak away our daily troubles; also a place where we prepare ourselves for the day. Most last at least twenty years before people think of replacing them. They take a lot of heavy use over this time. Renovating the bathroom Is an expensive job if it is to be carried out to a high standard. You will have to live with the new furniture and decor for a long time, so it is vital that you make all of the right choices from the beginning.

Let’s take a look here, at a few options available to you when shopping for your new bathroom suite.

Bath

The bath is the biggest piece of furniture in your room. There are various things to consider when choosing a new one. Firstly, the size of the room is all important. Does your existing bath take up all of the space that is available in your room? If the answer is yes, then you are restricted as to what you can replace it with, and will probably have to buy a bath of similar size.

If you have a little room to spare, and one member of your family is a little on the large side, it is only fair that a larger tub is installed. Dad’s feet need no longer hang over the end when bathing. Maybe you are a little family. Money can be saved on hot water by fitting a smaller tub in your room.

Whirlpool baths are the latest thing in luxury and, if your budget stretches to it, are well worth considering.

The style of the bath is all important for your setting. Will you select a classic roll top bath or a contemporary rectangular coffin? The overall design of the room will lead you to this decision.

Shower

The second largest, and maybe the most important feature of the modern bathroom is the shower cubicle. The shower trays come in shapes and sizes to suit. A small bathroom may make use of a pentangular corner tray or a curved design. My top tip; fit a double, rectangular shower cubicle if you have room.

Toilet

The toilet is an important piece of equipment. Toilets do not inspire me, but, whatever suite you choose, it will match the bath and basin. So so you can’t really go wrong once a decision has been made over which bath to install.

Basins

The perfect suite will always feature two bathroom sinks wherever there is room. An argument over the sink can set the day off to a bad start so it is better for a couple to have one each. You all know how it is.

There you have it, my top tips for choosing your bathroom suite. There are many other factors that come into your design such as taps and accessories. What shower will you install, electric or power shower? Complementary tiles will need to be chosen for the walls and floor. There are tough decisions to be made before the contractors come in to rip out your old suite, and you may have to live with errors of judgement for years to come. I don’t mean to worry you, though, i’m sure your new bathroom will be awesome.

Well that’s it for today, I hope you have found something in my ramblings that you can take away and use to your advantage, and so I wish you all the luck in the world with your latest project.
