You can’t beat the taste of your very own freshly made lemonade. This recipe will give you approximately six amazing glasses. You can also add strips of zest for extra flavour if your lemons are unwaxed.
You will need:
8 lemons
250g of sugar
1.5 litres of water
Lemon slices, ice, and mint leaves to serve
Here’s how to do it:
1) Cut each lemon in half and squeeze the juice. Ensure to remove any pips, and then pour into a jug.
2) Slowly heat the sugar in a pan with 1/3 of the water, constantly stir together. Once the sugar is dissolved, pour onto the lemon juice and stir.
3) Add the remaining water and then let it chill in the fridge. Once the lemonade is nice and cold, serve with ice cubes, fresh lemon slices, and garnish with mint leaves.
